Scholarship Competition & Exhibition

The Shiawassee Arts Council, celebrating its 49th anniversary in 2021, awarded $2,400 in scholarships to 17 students from five area area high schools at the Annual SAC Scholarship Show & Competition held May 2nd at the Arts Center. A total of 40 students from Owosso, Corunna, New Lothrop, Ovid-Elsie and Byron students participated in the show.
The top prize of $600 went to Owosso senior, Sarah Wittum. Second place, $500, went to Corunna senior, Evie Wright and third place, $300, went to Owosso senior, Sierra Wiseley. OE senior, Edward Salinas, was one of the six Friend of the Arts award winners.
