On February 23rd, 2022 Ovid-Elsie FFA members competed at Corunna High School, in various leadership contests at the regional level. Junior, Matthew Whitaker competed in the Extemporaneous Public Speaking contest where he received a gold award. Seniors, Clarisse Fitzpatrick and Emma Fox competed in the Demonstration contest earning a gold award with their demonstration entitled Hop Into Canning. Sophomores Willow Evans and Cassidy Harris and Freshman Harris Evans also competed in the Demonstration contest earning a gold award with their demonstration entitled Fine Swine. Freshman, Jamie Houska competed in the Creed Speaking contest and earned a silver. Junior, Perrien Rasch competed in the Job Interview contest receiving a gold. Junior High members Meadow Evans, Clarissa Baese, Danica Bancroft, Jacob Miller, Josh (JD) Miller, Jeremiah Stewart, Abigail Lehman, Nathan Brown, and Robert Kebler all received a gold in the Junior
High Conduct of Meetings contest.
Moving on to states, which is March 9-11 at Michigan State University are: Matthew Whitaker, Willow Evans, Harris Evans, Cassidy Harris, Meadow Evans, Clarissa Baese, Danica Bancroft, Jacob Miller, Josh (JD) Miller, Jeremiah Stewart, Abigail Lehman, Nathan Brown, and Robert Kebler.
