Golf is rich in tradition. Ovid-Elsie made local history last
week at the annual Mid-Michigan Activities Asssociation
(MMAC) league tournament.

O-E finished 5-0 in league dual matches, and won both the
pre-season and post-season tournaments, with a dominating 28-
stroke victory at the MMAC final.

Coach Josh Latz’s O-E linksters swept the top three spots –
Tyler Bancroft 82, Adam Barton 88 and Dylan Carman 95 —
as the trio of seniors led the way in the 18-hole showdown.
Junior Clay Wittenberg finished 9th (103) and senior Brayden
Phillips 11th (104).

Durand was 2nd in the MMAC at 396, while Montrose
placed third (419) and New Lothrop was fourth (431).
