Playing for the Home Crowd

On Friday, July 23rd, a large crown enjoyed the performance of Rachel Rodriguez who graced the stage at the Amphitheater located at McClintock Park in Laingsburg as part of the Music in the Park Summer Series. The skies looked threatening that evening, a light shower fell, but with some back stage prayer, the clouds took a different direction, the sun came out an a beautiful rainbow formed as the performers took to the stage.

Rachel, a wife, mother, performer, song writer, teacher of Creative Movement & Music, volunteer at the Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum and alumni member of the Women’s Music Business Association has established herself in Nashville’s Music City as an enchanting front woman, with her powerful vocals and versatile repertoire.

She grew up in Ovid, inspired by her dad, Ray, she has taken her musical
roots and created a style of her own with her incredible voice and her instrument of choice, the Auto Harp. Show Down will be at the Music in the Park Summer Series on August 6th.
