“DOZINKY” Czechoslovak Harvest Festival

BANNISTER – Sunday, August 7, 2022 marked the 46th anniversary of the Bannister ZCBJ Czechoslovakian Harvest Festival. Though it had been two years since a festival a been held the people came to enjoy the cultural experience, food, dance, music and fellowship. It was noted that in that 46-year period it has never rained during the program, it had rained before and after.
However, 2022, the program was to happen rain or shine – rain won. The MC and host of the festivities – Thomas Bradley and Robert Ladiski. The Bannister Lodge supports the local Ovid-Elsie High School radio station WOES. The station broadcasts Czechoslovak music, and German and Polish music, 91.3 FM. A $2,000 check was awarded to the station.
